History
The Ferrofluid Society Germany was founded at the 7th June 2010 in Dresden.
The chairman of the society is Prof. Stefan Odenbach, as vice-chairwoman acts Prof. Annette Schmidt,
as treasurer Dr. Adrian Lange, and as secretary works Dr. Frank Ludwig.
The first workshop organised by the society was the 10th ferrofluid workshop in Benediktbeuern in 2010
in honour of the 80th birthday of Prof. Klaus Stierstadt.
In 2011 by the society was organised the Euromech colloquium
"Patterns in Soft Magnetic Matter". During last years
the 11th, 12th and 13th ferrofluid workshops were organized by the society in Benediktbeuern (Bayern).
The
14th ferrofluid workshop was organized by Prof. Klaus Zimmermann in 2014 in Ilmenau and
